CORPUS CHRISTI – Legendary country music artist Clint Black is coming to Whataburger Field on Tuesday, May 31.
Presented by The Miracle League of Corpus Christi and YMCA of the Coastal Bend, Black and an opening performer will provide a concert experience to remember. Black is touring in support of his latest album, On Purpose, released in late September.

Seating for the event is General Admission and tickets are $30 each. Gates open at 5:30. Tickets go to public sale on Friday, February 19, at cchooks.com, the Whataburger Field box office, and by calling 361-561-HOOK (4665).

On Purpose is Black’s 21st album overall. To date, he’s sold more than 20 million worldwide and racked up 57 charted singles, including 31 Top-10 hits and 22 No. 1 smashes. Songs like “A Better Man,” “Killin’ Time,” “Like the Rain”, “When I Said I Do," and “Nothin’ But the Taillights” have garnered honors from the Country Music Association, The Academy of Country Music, The Grammys, and the American Music Awards, as well as membership in the cast of the Grand Ole Opry.

On Purpose, from Thirty Tigers Records, is comprised of 14 songs ranging from ballads such as “Only One Way to Live,” “Stay Gone,” “Breathing Air,” and “The Last Day,” to the spirited “Beer,” and “Better and Worse,” to the grooving “Time For That,” “Doing It Now For Love,” and “Summertime Song,” to “You Still Get to Me,” a duet with wife and fellow native Houstonian Lisa Hartman Black. Black helped lead a movement of young talent that transformed country music into a multi-million dollar industry in the ‘90s.
